Early Holiday Gifts: Every Extend Extra Extreme This Week?

During Tokyo Games Show, many Japanese XBLA games were announced. But my dreams of playing games like Every Extend Extra Extreme anytime soon were quickly dashed with word that E4 was slated to come to Japan near the end of the year and North America in early 2008.

So what the heck is E4 doing on the front page of the XBLA section at xbox.com? (Click the image for the full screen grab) It even has it's very own page with details and screens and everything (use the scrolling list on the left, not the big logo at the top which goes to this broken link).

Could this be an early Chrismahanukwanzica present for everyone? I sure hope so.

(To be perfectly clear: I'm still filing this under rumor as xbox.com has been wrong on many an occasion.)

Damn, if this does come out this week (which I won't hold my breath for tho with mistakes xbox.com has made in the past), it'll be a 3-way battle for my gaming attention between Puzzle Quest, this, and Beautiful Katamari. Then Guitar Hero 3 is coming soon, as well as Jericho.....I need to figure out a scheme to money, without actually having to go to work for it so I can have time for all this gaming greatness.

I have no problems with this

I have no problems with this game coming out this week but I thought we were expecting Speedball 2. Maybe a twofer?

PsychoDBoy: Tell me about it. Puzzle Quest, Halo 3 and PGR4 right now. GH3 and Mass Effect in November. If that weren't enough, I'm thinking about buying a Wii when Mario Galaxy comes out. I'm actually thinking about not buying any more XBLA titles this year =) You know, there is such a thing as playing to much video games.

As for my woes...Add Orange Box (I never played Half Life 2 ever), Rock Band (really that's just a pipe dream since it's so expensive), Assassins Creed...etc, etc, etc.

I'm so screwed it's not even funny anymore. I hope SOMETHING gets horrible reviews so I can take it off my list. All these games in the 90s are killing me (Orange Box, Bioshock, Halo 3 right in a row...WTF)!

Besides, I'm more looking forward to the new Lumines Live! content coming out next(?) month, so I'd hope for that before E4 (although I'm greatly looking forward to it as well).

It could just be that they uploaded the info onto all the regions which will be getting the game and that it is simply being prepared for the Japanese release.
