Hot off the presses! This week's pair of games will be Ticket to Ride and Happy Tree Friends: False Alarm. You would be hard pressed to come up with a more different set of games to pair up for an XBLA Wednesday.
Ticket to Ride (based on the board game of the same name) challenges you to travel the grand U.S. of A. by train and is the E-rated (and thus family friendly). On the other side, Happy Tree friends is about rescuing your cute cuddly woodland animal friends from almost certain gruesome death. If you hadn't guessed, it's rated M.
Which will it be my fine gentlemen and ladies -- click-clack click-clack or kaboom?
Press release after the break.
Forum member tancredo was the first to mention to us that Happy Tree Friends will be dropping on June 25th. After searching around for as much confirmation as we could find (which included interviews and the official site on Sega.com) we are still holding back our excitement.
Why you ask?
Perhaps some of you remember this story. Sega themselves said that we'd be playing this game by now, stating that the release date for Happy Tree Friends : False Alarm would be April 21st of this year. So right up until we have it in our grubby little hands, were going to be a little skeptical about this one.
If you're anything like me you probably enjoy lighting overly cute woodland creatures on fire*. Good thing for all of us that the Happy Tree Friends achievements have been released and one of them celebrates this fact by encouraging us to burn our Happy Tree Friends 200 times. You'll also have to earn high scores, gold medals, and (unfortunately) even have to get through a zone without harming any of those sickeningly adorable animals.
Oh well. After I get that one I'll get right back to enjoying my childhood pyromania again. And again. And again.

360Sync.com has confirmed the rumor with Sega that Happy Tree Friends: False Alarm will be release on April 21st. It's obvious here that they mean the week of April 21st as that is a Monday. In addition, they have gotten word from Zen Studios that Rocky and Bullwinkle will be available on April 16th for 800 MS Points. If you would like to see complaining about [Insert Game Name] not being released on those two weeks head to our comments section!
Sega has announced a new game today that is based on a popular franchise... but it's not a Sega franchise. The online flash and television series Happy Tree Friends is underdevelopment from Stainless Studios. After reading the press release it sounds like a take on recently released Eets.
