XBLArcade.com

Gamertag Radio releases Xbox Community Awards nominee list.

Head on over to Gamertag Radio's site and vote for all your favorites in this year's Xbox Community Awards. While your there, you may notice a strange entry under the "Xbox News Site Of The Year" category. That's right, XBLArcade.com has been nominated! It truly is an honor to be nominated in the same category as these great sites (each of which I check each and every day):

Xbox News Site Of The Year
-http://OntheXbox.com

BTW when this site ends up with only one vote, you'll know who that was :)

XBLArcade.com Leaderboard

Thanks to Morgon and the whole MyGamercard.net team, XBLArcade.com now has a Gamer Score Leaderboard. I've taken the liberty of adding all the members of XBLArcade.com who have set up there gamertag as part of their profile. If you would like to be added or removed from this list, just let me know.

You can check out the leaderboard here.

New Site is going beta

So this is the big weekend that we are moving to the third version of the site software. While Wordpress has been great for us so far, the new features that we want to add (and the features that people have been requesting) require us to move to a new site software. In order to facilitate a clean transition and to ensure we don't lose any of the posts or great comments (who do you think we are? Major Nelson?) I've disabled all comments on the site.

Keep checking back over the weekend for the new look, a story about an unannounced game in development (i.e. not one of the 36 known games in development), and the addition of the number one requested features, forums! Wish us luck and let us know if you see any issues with the new site.

UPDATE: obviously the new site is now live, bare with us as we fix the little issues that pop up, and feel more than free to comment on what you think and if you find any issues.

UPDATE 2: had to change a bunch of things, but it should work fine in IE7 as well as the others now.

New member of the team

You may have noticed that the last news post on the site look different than all of the other, for the first time, it didn't say "Written by xblarcade" at the end of it. That's right we've finally got someone else to help searching around finding every bit of XBLA news to bring all of you.

On his quest to get a job in the industry, Trent82 has been gracious enough to lend a hand around here so that I can start working on some new features for the site that I've been trying to find time for. One of the first things you'll see is a replacement for that somewhat sad XBLA games list we have.

So welcome to the party trent, hope you brought your hip waiters

New Look and new features

So we've finally been able to get our second iteration of the site up and going. It may take a bit for everything to work out perfectly, but we'll get there. As for what we've added, it's mostly new ways for people to stay up to date with the world of XBLArcade. If you check out on the left, you'll see links to import our feed into the most popular feed readers. Also, if RSS just isn't for you, you can have all new posts e-mailed to you by entering in your info on the left.

Hope all goes well and let us know if you run into any issues.

Site Changes

For the next week or so this site will be going through a few visual changes. As you can see, the template has changed to a lighter theme. There will be small changes still to the theme including introducing a bit of colour, but it will look mostly the same as it does now. Feel free to leave any comments as to how you like the changes.
More info as it comes in…
