Admit It Already: Evidence For XBLA Core Mounts

Last month we told you about the "rumor" that the Xbox 360 Core SKU was slated to be replaced by a new SKU targeted specifically at the XBLA-lovin' casual gamer.

Well, the rumor has sprung up again recently so here's the updated scoop:

ArsTechnica reported (via a well placed mole) the following details about the Xbox 360 Arcade SKU:

New Xbox Core Sku "at the end of October" that will include a new version of the system with an HDMI port, wireless controller, 256MB memory card, and five arcade games on a physical disc. The games will be Boom-Boom Rocket, Pac-man, Uno, Feeding Frenzy, and Luxor 2. This package is expected to retail for the normal Core price of $279.99.

Now, Joystiq and X3F have teamed up to give us a screenshot of the quickly removed Toys 'R Us listing and a link to the (still live) Amazon.com listing for the "Xbox 360 Arcade" listed for release on (you guessed it) October 23rd.

Earth to Microsoft: Just admit it already. It's less than a month away.
