Three more board games announced for XBLA

During their speech at the Leipzig Games Convention, Microsoft announced this morning three more board games that will be showing up on XBLA this year. Carcassarone, Alhambra and Settlers of Catan will join the four board games we reported on yesterday to shore up that demographic for the Arcade.

We'll keep you up to date as more details are released.

Awesome. Catan and

Awesome. Catan and Carcassarone I am very familiar with, and would easily pay 400 or maybe even 800 points to play on XBLA.

Alhambra I don't think I've played, but I believe that's also one of the "Modern German-Style" games that have been gaining in popularity.

I think XBLA will be a great medium for intelligent board games, which should also end up significantly cheaper for us than copies of the physical game are, due to the lack of need to manufacture tons of parts.
