Ikaruga - Anyone still playing it?
I only ask because everyone on my friends list who bought it only played it the first day or two and then completely stopped. Also, there seemed to be a lot of people on this site anticipating it, but there hasn't been much posting about it.

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has got the grade A achievements for levels 3 and 4. Those levels are pretty insane, in my opinion. I've only been playing on Normal, but I'm wondering if Easy would really make it any easier. Since enemies don't give out residual bullets, it pretty much kills a lot of chaining strats that involve using your homing lasers. Sure, Easy is much easier to survive, but for points it's not so good.

Also, is it just me or is EVERY co-op match full of lag? Even when all the green bars are full (which is rare), there is still a noticeable split-second lag. It's not a problem on the first level, but after that it makes the levels way harder than they should be, even with the extra firepower.

After playing Ikaruga almost exclusively for the last week, I still think this is the best version available. I fired up the DC version the other day, and the upgrade in graphics is staggering. Also, the XBLA version has the chapter text that was missing from the GC version. However, it doesn't have the galleries, sound test, or conquest mode, but the core gameplay is intact as far as I can tell. Maybe some VERY minor timing / enemy-behavior changes in certain points in the game, but nothing a player can't adapt to. What does everyone else think?

I Still Play

I personally still play it all the time. I'm just never online. And co-op? Forget it. Every single co-op game I've played has had tons of lag. Not too mention that the buttons aren't very responsive online, either. I don't know how many times I died in a co-op game at a trivial part of a level, all because my ship wouldn't switch polarity quick enough.

As for the Chapter 3 and 4 achievements, I don't have them myself, but I found a video online of someone going through those chapters flawlessly. Might help you form a strategy or get some ideas. Here's the links for the videos:
