SHINOBI - This is an arcade-style action game in which players control a ninja who frees hostages and fights members of a criminal organization. Players traverse through various platforms and attack enemies by throwing shuriken stars, using special moves, and slashing thugs with a katana sword. Some enemies carry pistols and knives or use bazookas to defeat the player. During a brief bonus round, players view the action from a first-person perspective as they quickly throw shuriken stars at incoming ninjas. Altered Beast - This is a side-scrolling action game in which players assume the role of a resurrected centurion that is sent to rescue a kidnapped Goddess. Players traverse through many platform levels and fight hordes of zombies, giant insects, winged gargoyles, and two-headed wolves along the way. Players mostly punch and kick enemies to move forward, while special power-up orbs allow players to use special attacks (e.g., fireballs, lighting strikes, turning creatures to stone) that inflict greater damage.
