If you enjoy BUBBLE BOBBLE or puzzle games in general, then you're in for a treat! Japanese website Game Watch has revealed that the Taito Corporation plans on bringing one of its most recognized brand to Microsoft's Xbox 360 download service by releasing PUZZLE BOBBLE Live!, aka Bust A Move, to the Xbox LIVE Arcade on September 30th for 800 Microsoft Points.

PUZZLE BOBBLE Live! is based on the action puzzle game "BUBBLE BOBBLE Live!" which recently released this past Wednesday on XBLA, and features some of the game’s characters. The game will consist of three separate "Single Player" modes; 1P Puzzle, Endless, CPU Battle and will also feature Multiplayer.

The Single player “1P Puzzle” mode features over 135 stages split into zones consisting of five stages each. Clear a zone, and you'll be able to freely select the next zone. “Endless Mode” has your avatar come out and cheer you on, and “CPU Battle” puts you against 8 CPU characters, each with different strengths and attack patterns.

The game’s Multiplayer mode will offer play for two players, with offline play via a Local Play mode and online play on Xbox LIVE.

PUZZLE BOBBLE Live! will also have downloadable content featuring an additional 135 stages per pack from previous PUZZLE BOBBLE games. Rumoured to be available at release, there will be the 1P Stage Pack One, which includes 135 stages from Bubble Bobble 2, and the 1P Stage Pack Two, which includes 135 stages selected from Super Puzzle Bobble and Puzzle Bobble DX. The DLC packs will be priced at 240 Microsoft Points each.

It should be worth noting that the game itself is essentially the same, along with the stage packs having the same names as the packs that were offered for the WiiWare version PUZZLE BOBBLE Plus!, which was released this past April. Aside from that, it’s unclear how much more similar the two games are, but it’s worth noting that the XBLA version does have some clear bonuses, including high definition(HD) visuals, achievements and the addition of Avatars.

PUZZLE BOBBLE Live! will be out September 30 in Japan for 800 Microsoft Points. Taito had no comment about North American or European releases at this time, but we here at XBLArcade.com will keep you updated and let you know as soon as we know anything new.
