There's a couple of XBLA-reviews at Computer & Video Games.

Pinball FX, score 7.5

"It's a great addition to XBLA and one that stands out amongst the crowd thanks to a level of quality that would support a full price game in itself. Great-looking and unhampered by a dodgy screen layout, there's no reason at all why this won't be one you keep firing up for one more play."

Street Trace NYC, score 4,4

"It's a shame, as what initially looked promising all those months ago when we first saw it, is in fact one of the worst games on Live Arcade. Avoid."

I was really looking forward to that game, especially with all the talks of sequels and the like. Then again, that's the great thing about XBLA, I'll be certainly still trying the Demo as soon as it comes out.

Another thing that worries me about this is what it means for Wing Commander considering Gaia is doing that as well :(

It's a little premature to start worrying about Wing Commander based on a 3-paragraph review of Street Trace NYC.

Maybe the game actually is horrible, but what does this review really say about it? They complain about the controls but don't even have the courtesy to describe the control scheme or explain what makes it so terrible. And then they throw in a quick comment about un-makable jumps. That's it.

This strikes me as a review that could have been finished within an hour of downloading the game. Maybe the game just has a learning curve. Sorry, please excuse my optimism.

I believe one of the OXM's did a Street Trace review and gave it a 7ish, so maybe the CVG reviewer either just didn't like it or the OXM reviewer really liked it.

About the length of the reviews, I believe many (if not most) of the reviews, previews, et.c. on CVG are taken from Future's print magazines. That's probably why they're so short.

Anyway, it's good to see they like Pinball FX. I'm really interested in that one.

Mmmm.. Pinball... I swear I will work at staying in the top 100 overall scores on each table... If there are no scoring glitches, I believe I have a shot at the top... because I am unquestionably the king of pinball.

I've never really been hyped about Street Trace NYC, so no suprise there. But XBLA really could use a good driving game.

Pinball FX looks solid. I'm definitely buying that! Nice with a new genre at the arcade.

To all interested members, unfortunately the above link was removed for an improper review - XBOX World 360 Magazine will definitely be reviewing the game this spring so look out for it!

In the meantime, we do have a few previews of Street Trace: NYC. Check 'em out for whoever's looking for more details on our game!
