XBLArcade.com user Prym3 pointed out that over at the Capcom forums, Christian Svensson repointed out an important announcement that was made at the Capcom Gamer's Day event but was overlooked by most people. Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting has generated the most revenue out of any other Xbox Live Arcade game to date. This announcement is very interesting as SFII:HF is not the most downloaded or even sold XBLA title. Congratulations Capcom!

I thought it was the most sold title.
They made an announcement last month with the top 5 sellers to date:

SF2 was at the top, followed by Bankshot which was mostly given away for free so probably wouldn't pass SF2 in revenue.

I found this gem of a quote buried deep in some obscure forum (It was posted regarding the overall xbla download just before street fighter was released):
Street Fighter II, soon to be #1

Makes me laugh out loud, just thought I'd share it with you.
