Prince of Persia Classic is now available for download. That's it. No song and dance.

Buzz for the game on Major Nelson's blog is very positive but the comments are now devolving into a discussion about XBLA's flawed DRM scheme (read: you got a refurb and can't play your games offline anymore).

Think you can rescue the Princess? And in less than 60 minutes? Without dying?

I've only played the demo,
I've only played the demo, which was fun (seems to be the same layout as the first level in the original), but I wasn't quite comfortable with the walking/running-controls. It was a bit too easy to run when I wanted to walk, and in Prince of Persia, that can be lethal.

Okay, wow! Ubisoft really

Okay, wow! Ubisoft really did a good job making this game playable.

I played through the demo level pretty easily and it was actually fun. That surprised me. I couldn't stand the original controls.

I went and fired up Sands of Time to see if I was crazy, but no, the original game's controls are still awful.

The game is maybe a little too easy now, especially with overly helpful features like the butterfly and the symbols on trigger tiles. I'm sure that's disappointing to fans of the game. But when most of the challenge came from fighting the controls, I say good riddance, personally.

i'm loving it myself. the
i'm loving it myself. the ghost mode and leaderboards really, really make this game worth playing.

A lot of people are talking
A lot of people are talking about how hard the game is. Does it get a lot harder after the first level?
