Totem Ball free with Camera
Eek. Gives me a feeling of "wiimoteness" if that can be a word. I'm scared by the Wiimote, and this game seems to be following the wavy-arm-gamer path.
Why would anyone want to play poker with their camera on, come to think of it. wouldn't you be giving your competitors an advantage, being able to see your bodily reactions? hmm...
This lucky bastard who snagged a Vision Camera from Toys 'R' Us doesn't say anything about Totem Ball, and it's not in his recently played games (maybe he just missed it I hope?), and on the packaging it says it comes with "Xbox Live Arcade Game," which in this case is UNO. Read on...
He said an unlock key for UNO comes with it, which still irks me (I already own it! ) but I'm keeping my hopes high. I really hope they don't do the dual-SKU and include Totem Ball only with the more expensive one. I'd be pissed.
I'm getting the more expensive one just because it's such a good deal. Like the premium pack versus the core for the console itself, you get so many extra things with the glod pack that it's almost not worth getting the silver one. Just the headset and year of Live service is worth $70, plus you get Uno, possibly Totem Bal, and in OXM they mentioned an unnamed 3rd game, as well as 200 points. After all that, the camera is basically free.
This is pretty much confirmation that the one Toys 'R' Us accidentally put out doesn't come with Totem Ball.
So now all we can do is wait for the more expensive one and hope.
(Here's the topic, if you couldn't find the link to get back to his original post, in which he states that he got one and his observations of it.)
this wasn't even on my radar but now it seems like a must buy. i still don't really care about the camera that much, but with all of that other stuff i am definitely picking up the $80 package.
here's my question: if you are playing one of those games that allows you to scan your face on to a 3d character, what happens if you scan your cat instead...hmmm...
