Now that you've all become acquainted with the general idea behind A Kingdom for Keflings, we here at XBLArcade would like to share our own little exclusive content with all of you. We're just in a sharing mood today.
NinjaBee's been with XBLA since the beginning and with each game they bring something new to the table. But some part of me knows that I can depend on them to deliver a game with a solid game at the core layered with that signature NinjaBee look and feel. I haven't played Keflings yet so I can't comment on the feel, but the rest of these exclusive images demonstrate that hard to pin down NinjaBee aesthetic -- based (loosely) on reality but always filled with humor and whimsy. Check 'em out after the break!
IGN has a feature up about NinjaBee's upcoming XBLA game A Kingdom for Keflings. All we've heard or seen of the game so far was this teaser video. Course, for me, knowing it's a NinjaBee game is enough to want it.
Go ahead and check out the new trailer (here or there), screenshots, and the interview with Steve Taylor (president of NinjaBee). Then, come on back here because we'll soon have our own exclusive Keflings coverage in the coming days.
Any up for some 4-player cooperative kingdom building later this fall?

NinjaBee, the developers of such awesome titles as Outpost Kaloki X or Band of Bugs, announced earlier that they're developing a new XBLA title.
While the details are scarce right now, A Kingdom for Keflings will be a city-building sim with "light-hearted gameplay and graphics". The game will feature the titular 3-foot tall Keflings, supposedly, as your helpers building while you build your kingdom.
A Kingdom for Keflings is expected to hit XBLA this Fall.

Devon Kofsky (aka DaKing240) has the XBLA skinny from GDC. How? Well, he's there. I'm not jealous. I swear.
Moving on!
GDC Day 1 brings news that NinjaBee's Doritos game will be light on the advertising. And thankfully, they decided to code in the fun after previous complaints. Also, Freeverse mentioned that DLC is on the way for Marathon.
And apparently the best advice for those getting stuck on levels in N+ is go and have a beer and come back later. Law willing, of course. Oh, and DLC is coming for N+ too. Without further ado, here's the N+ interview.

December 3rd will mark the PC release of our favorite turn-based, isometric strategy game that has already been released on Xbox Live Arcade. What game is that? Well, Band of Bugs of course! For those of you who have not yet purchased this Xbox Live Arcade classic quit checking your couch for pennies as Ninja Bee will be giving away a copy of the game and a Ninja Bee t-shirt to forum posters who submit a picture of themselves with a Band of Bugs characters. Full details can be read at the Ninja Bee forums.

In case you have forgotten, Snack Strong Productions is sponsoring the Unlock Xbox contest -- a way to take your Doritos-themed XBLA arcade game idea and turn it into reality.
The finalists were announced back in August. Now, working betas of their games are up and running on the Unlock Xbox website. The winner will be determined by your votes, so get over there, play some games, and let your voice be heard! Just remember that the winner will be announced November 19th, so don't wait too long.
Once a winner is selected, NinjaBee (a subdivision of Wahoo Studios) will take the winning game and flesh it out into a full blown XBLA title for all of us to download. In my mind, that's a great choice of developer -- a team with lots of experience and creativity to burn.

Want more content for Band of Bugs? (If you're like me you need it.) Then check the arcade this Wednesday because a new single-player campaign expansion will be there to greet you.
The new campaign is called Ninja Sticks of Fury. (Which is a name fills me with shocking awe.) Details as follows:
For those hardcore players out there this set of missions is purportedly tough. Mega-tough. But I know you are all up for a little challenge, so go get it. If all that is not enough to convince you, check out the trailer -- embedded below to combat your laziness.

After the break, another NinjaBee t-shirt contest (courtesy of VGToys.com) and a personal note about Band of Bugs.

Everyone should know by now that I love me some NinjaBee. But I'm sure some of you out there love them too. On that note, why not celebrate your love for NinjaBee by sticking your name in a hat to win a free t-shirt. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?
How can you win a t-shirt sporting the lovable (and gullible) kung-fu ready Clyde? By entering the contest at VGToys.com, of course. They are giving away a Cloning Clyde t-shirt (courtesy of NinjaBee) containing one of my favorite quotes from the game, "P.S. always remember that you are a special guy." It always makes me giggle.
What are you waiting for? Go get it!
(Unfortunately for all my international readers, it's US only. Sorry!)
FWIW: I have this T-shirt and the quality is top-notch!

Boy, that was fast. Just moments after wondering what the Band of Bugs DLC would be, all the details plop into my lap.
If all goes well we should see a new theme (Support Theme), a new picture pack (Picture Pack 4, eyepatches rule!), and a new map pack (Map Pack 3). You can get an idea of the picture pack and theme on the official Band of Bugs page.
The map pack will contain "a new Spider Hunter map and some mission-oriented" maps as well.
No official word yet, but I imagine prices will be similar to everything else released for this game.
[thanks, Steve Taylor]
