According to the Gamerscoreblog, Xbox Live Arcade this week won't see any new release (*sad panda face*), instead we'll be treated to 2 new titles being added to the Xbox Live Arcade Hits program, namely Assault Heroes and Doom.
Both of these titles will be available from now on for 400 Microsoft Points.
Are you picking any of these or would you rather have a new title this week?
Could it be that the ESRB is good for something other than giving a heads up on the next Virtual Console games? A search for Final Doom for the 360 on their search page, brings up a hit!
While this is certainly just in the rumor stages right now, could we see another big trade show bring another surprise Doom release? (yeah I don't think so either), but it would certainly seem that something is cooking.
Thanks to qwerty in the forums for the heads up (wouldn't want to get Luke @ 1up angry about missing credit :) )
At Microsoft's X06 Conference in "Barcelona" they confirmed that the "previously unannounced major franchise" that was being released today is DOOM.
The XBLA version includes upgraded resolution, 5.1 support, 4 player split-screen, both local and online 4 player co-op as well as Death match. Unfortunately it doesn't support WS (although it does allow you to stretch the screen).
For those of you who are Achievement whores, here's the list.
