Classic Board Games coming to XBLA

Gaming Bits have found an interesting bit of information on one of the inserts of the Vision Camera that was put for sale early by Toys R Us. On the pamphlet, it lists two games; Texas Hold'em which will be released tomorrow, and something called "Classic Board Games". It includes Checkers, Reversi, Mancala and Chess.

We'll keep you update as more info is released about this.

Classic board games would be good, but what I'd love to see is some modern board games brought to the xbla. Settlers of Catan, Power Grid, RoboRally, Blockus... I'd pay 400 points for any of those.

Carbonated games ported

Carbonated games ported Settlers of Catan to the MSN Zone a year or two ago, so it's always possible that they'll actually convert it over to XBLA eventually...

 

But man, if you play some of the new, german-style games like Catan... you'll never go back to monopoly.
