Feeding Frenzy on the loose
After a bit of a delay, Feeding Frenzy has finally been released on the Marketplace. The full game will run you 800 points, but if it’s anything like the PC version, it should be well worth it, so go grab the demo now. You can read Major Nelson’s take on it here.

What industry slowdown?
PopCap Games, the creators of the XBLA titles, Zuma, Bejewelled 2, and the upcomming Astropop are growing the team once again. In an industry that seems to be all news about layoffs and the like, it’s certainly good to see one of the Arcade developers doing so well.
This article at gameindustry.biz has a few great tidbits about the growth. My favorite being that PopCap has grown from three employees in 2000 to an expected 70 or so in the next 12 months.

Street Fighter 2 fighting a loosing battle?
While we don’t normally post rumors here, this one (although packed in with a bit of crazy) seems to have a bit of logic behind it. It seems that someone from Microsoft e-mailed Kotaku with information claiming that they are having a hell of a time getting Street Fighter 2 even playable online. While I’m sure many people far smarter than me are working on it, I could see how this game, possible more than any other, needs to be in perfect synch.
Also, if for some reason they can’t work this out, what does that mean for Mortal Kombat?

Really Old Novadrome Screenshots
While digging around for more info on Stainless Games’ next XBLA game Novadrome, we noticed that as early as two years ago, this game was in development for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, PC and PSP. Also, screen shots were released as seen in this post at GameGossip. Now, it should be noted that the graphics should end up looking a lot better than they do in these shots, however they should give you a good idea of the art direction the title will take.

Mutant Storm 2 info
While this is old information, there hasn’t been much made of the sequel to the popular Mutant Storm Reloaded. Tentatively due out some time in August, here’s what the developers had to say about it:
Mutant Storm 2 ( which it WONT be called ) is going to be a cross between Tripper & MS. The only thing that its going to share with MS1 is the robotron control method. Apart from that, we see it alot more like Tripper in many ways, with scrolling levels, bosses etc. Its not something we can really talk about at this stage with all our focus being on the conversion of MS1 we need to get ready in 2 months!
Tripper is a more mission based game that is loosely based on Defender.

- Get special hints: Get help with your battle against time and earn bonus points and extra lives as you advance through the quests.
While I bought it the moment I saw it on Marketplace, am I the only one who is getting a little fed up with Aztec themed puzzle games?
You can read Major Nelson’s post about it here.

Site Changes
For the next week or so this site will be going through a few visual changes. As you can see, the template has changed to a lighter theme. There will be small changes still to the theme including introducing a bit of colour, but it will look mostly the same as it does now. Feel free to leave any comments as to how you like the changes.

RoboBlitz drops the bulk
According to a news release on TeamXBox, Naked Sky Entertainment has selected Allegorithmic’s ProFX procedural texture authoring and rendering system for there upcoming XBLA Title RoboBlitz. What this means is that instead of shipping all of the textures for the game with the title (making it upwards of 1 gig of space) they will create the textures on the fly.
This is a major step in getting the game to be under the 50mb limit for XBLA, something that many people scoffed at when it was announced that RoboBlitz would be using the Unreal 3 Engine.
