Has anyone ever tried the GarageGames Torque engine?

Programming with it you mean? No, I played around with the Tribes map maker way back when though. From what I read about it on GameDev.net it's kind of a messy engine. The Torque shader engine is really nice though from what I hear.

I highly doubt they'll force you to only use Torque, it's probably just a packaged w/ XNA deal. I'm not sure if they are just waiving the Torque developer license for this then or what.

this is very, very tempting...although all of my game ideas seem quite complex...i'm not sure if i could pull them off. it would be great to put this degree to use.
