anybody else actually trying to unlock finity mode? it sounds like it might be one of the best modes in the game. this game turned out to be better than i thought, but the endless mode achievement is just absolutely ridiculous. i'm currently less than half way done after 65 hours or so.

for those playing the other modes...in classic mode, play at the top and try to keep a match or 2 near the bottom in case you run out of options and need to try to mix things up by causing a big shift...save hypercubes until you absolutely need to use them. in action mode, play at the bottom and hope for some lucky accidental combos. use hypercubes immediately.

anyone with 12/12 on this one put in some serious time. go you.

I have a buddy who has plays the game straight with his GF for 8 hour periods.

Personally, I prefer that Bejeweled clone on XBLA. It's awkward maps and relics and such make it harder in smaller chunks of time.

Yeah, it's definately not a better game, but the "maps" give it a slightly more difficult air. You don't have to play for 20 minutes until you get into a sticky situation.

Bejeweled 2 had my interest, until I got my last two reasonable achievements, 'Hyper1000' and 'Power10000'. I am up to Lv. 131 in Endless Mode, and don't really see myself getting to Lv. 280. Too many good games at the moment, and in the pipeline, to even think about doing 2 Lvs. per day.
I'll stick to my 150, I think.

I found this game fun to play while watching football or really any tv show that doesn't demand your full continuous attention.

I think I made it to at least 180 before I lost my save when my system froze. (For anyone who doesn't know, be warned that the game erases your save as soon as you load it. So if you don't quit properly through the in-game menus, then it won't re-save your game and your progress is lost.) I haven't bothered to try again since then.

I completely gave up on this game. Endless mode is way to long to defeat. Also, in action mode, I've gotten to level 8 a few times but I never beat it. It's just frustrating.
