Ikaruga CONFIRMED for Xbox Live Arcade

No, this is not a joke. No, you didn't read this wrong. Yes, you may want to remember to breathe. Computer And Video Games have revealed the greatest Partner Net discovery ever. Ikaturga is coming to Xbox Live Arcade. For those of you who don't "live" in Japan and use the Arcades or a Dreamcast or own a Gamecube, Ikaruga is a top-down shooter developed by Treasure (Gunstar Series, Radiant Silvergun, Wario World). The game itself is interesting due to the fact that the player must switch off between two different types of shot/defense to stay alive, which can best be described by watching the video below this news post. The game ironically crashed before CVG could try it out, but had they booted it up they would have been more than likely given both a single-player and multiplayer mode, leaderboards, and the whole ten yards.

UPDATE: DaKing240 has given word that other games have joined Ikaruga on Partner Net today including Centipede, Milipede, Jetpac, Pinball FX and Alien Hominid. From this news it looks like the Rare classic Jetpac may be popping onto the arcade possibly as soon as this summer.
