Ode to the XBLA

XBLA, oh how I love you. Let me count the ways...

Seriously... Xbox Live and the XBLA, as implemented in the Xbox 360, is the first truly "Revolutionary" experience I've had with a gaming console since I first played "Mario 64". I never had a live account with the original Xbox, but it seems that it is critical to have the 360 wired up to the internets permanantly.

When I turn on my 360 and get to the dashboard, it feels like I'm really experiencing the "future" of entertainment.

And the XBLA... I can't say enough good things about this. With all my previous systems, once I got bored of my games I would turn off the console for weeks, until something new came in from gamefly, or I found a bargain title at the store.

With XBLA... There's always an excuse to turn on my console. so many great, easy to get into, easy to shut off games just begging me to turn them on.

I'll stop gushing for now. LONG LIVE THE XBLA!

And I'm sure everyone here agrees. At least, I know I do.

I know it is nearing a year but other than the waiting I am very happy with my 360 and arcade. Honestly, I wish they would open it up to everything (i.e. those titles that the portfolio managers choose.) They have done a good job selecting and I hope we see something like xmen 4 player , turtles 4 player and simpsons 4 player games. Those would rock hard.

You should put your live account on the original xbox and load up an xbox live arcade disc. There are some great games over there that aren't on the 360.
