Found this review from EuroGamer. 7/10. Lots of praise for the game though...I wonder why the lowish score after quotes like the following:

"Gameloft is to be congratulated and rewarded with millions of our Microsoft points for a remake that beautifully celebrates a genuine gaming legend. Add it to your Live Arcade collection alongside Jetpac Refuelled, Geometry Wars and Pac-Man Championship Edition as the most essential examples of 'retro evolved'."

What do you guys think about review mashups? I know a lot of sites do it (Kotaku's Frankenreview comes to mind). Hopefully we'll be reviewing stuff ourselves too...but we could do a "our take" vs. "their take" kinda thing. What do you think?

I don't like videogame reviews in general. some sites are getting better, but I really don't like the old 100-point system. a difference of 1 point in the system means nothing.

Videogames should swallow their collective pride and adopt a 4-star rating system.

I know this has little to do with the OP, but it felt like a good time for a rant.

I personally only like the EGM, 1up, GFW reviews as they actually use the full 10 point scale (5 is average). The writing is almost always better than the majority of posts at other sites. I mean there are reviewers that I like everywhere, but the 1up network is the best.

With that said they have a positive PoP review http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3160281 and this was shortly after the 9/10 pac man ce review (we all know it's great). The only thing they didn't like was that it got too hard later on and that it's priced at $10 when it's clearly not better than Symphony of the Night for the same price.

Personally, I feel this game lives for it's ghostmodes and leaderboards. The issue I have is there isn't a per level leaderboard... come on 3 leaderboards for a TIMED game Ubisoft?!? Take a look at something like Mad Tracks.

Yeah, it's annoying not having those leaderboards. But it is cool that they let you compare individual level times with anybody on the leaderboard.

I'm loving the survival mode. That's true hardcore arcade style challenge there. :) Gotta love how you can get to the end with 12 health and die instantly when Jaffar Force Pushes you off a cliff.

I suggested that they allow you to download a ghost of the top players on the leaderboard in a comment on a blog post here. Game comes, and the feature is included. now that's service.

I wonder if they planned it like that or if the developers read this site... Now i wish I had asked for a replay mode so I could just watch them instead of having to keep up... heh.
