Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix

Puzzle Fighter makes nice on XBLA and PSN

Gamasutra has an interview with Christian Svensson of Capcom (who sports the swanky title of Senior Director of Strategic Planning & Research) which touches upon the upcoming release of Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD.

There are two nuggets of information regarding Puzzle Fighter: First, Puzzle Fighter will be released simultaneously on XBLA and PSN (first time that's ever happened). Second, they will cost the same on both platforms.

Smartly, Capcom dodged a pricing flame war. Lucky for us, on day one we can still battle over which system is the best at running 2D puzzle-based fighting games.

Now, if only they would tell us when this magical synergy will occur and how much it will set us back.

Super Street Fighter + Puzzle Fighter Information

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will be coming in the summer timeframe of this year with redone mechanics to make the game better than the original title; however, early reports from the Gamer's Day states that the title's 1080p has been achieved with upscaled graphics, which didn't always look the best. In addition to the balancing issues, the title will feature two new gametypes (Y-mode line up three and Z-mode 2x2 cursor) and two new stages. Screenshots for the game can be found on Kotaku and Joystiq with a GameVideos video below.
