XBLA Top 10 -- Week of 10/01/07 -- Familiar Edition

This list looks mighty familiar. If it weren't for a certain sale I'm pretty sure that this week's list would have required only a shuffling.

As it stands now, only two games made it on the chart that didn't make it last week, and both of them were on sale this week.

The biggest lost after last week is GEON: Emotions which fell completely off the chart from 6th place.

More after the break.

*WOC: Weeks on Charts (Only full weeks are tallied, thus first week is zero.)

If Microsoft doesn't see the value in a sale that can resurrect a game that has been out for almost 2 years (Bankshot Billiards 2 at 97 weeks) then they must be crazy. I also think it speaks to the reluctance to buy something for 1200MSP on XBLA. Bringing Bankshot down closer to the typical 800MSP certainly helped it this week.

Other than that, the only other game bumped from the chart is Track & Field. Finally.

You know what would make a lot of sense? I sale on Mutant Storm Reloaded the week that Mutant Storm Empire arrives. Now that would rock! (I know. I need help.)

Honestly, the only reason

Honestly, the only reason why I haven't bough Mutant Storm Reloaded yet is because I've been secretly hoping that at some point MS is planning to cut its price for Mutant Storm Empire's release. Or for maybe some other sale.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. TMNT Arcade is a freaking soldier. Talk about having legs.

I bet The Simpsons Arcade Game is so close to being announced or it's existence being leaked in some form, I can almost fucking smell it.

I agree about TMNT. I bet

I agree about TMNT. I bet we get Turtles in Time (arcade version) before too long. I'm actually surprised Konami hasn't announced new xbla games (or midway for that matter).

Those are all well and good,

Those are all well and good, but where the hell is the X-men 6-players over Live experience?!?!?! I mean you could *easily* sell that for 800MSP or maybe even 1200MSP...so what are they waiting for?

Bad Lunar BAD!

Don't encourage them to hike up prices anymore. The base coding for the additional features is already part of the emulator and that whole series of arcade games work of the same base coding. Fine tuning would be required of course, but overall nothing major...relatively.
