Or rather, they don't know about the XBLA

I tease, but seriously, I have a real-life friend who was bragging to me about his 360, and I asked him if I could put him on my friends list... he's like "huh?" I think he is barely aware that his 360 can connect to the internets, and has no clue about the XBLA, to say the least.

Nevertheless, he fully enjoys his 360 experience. I don't get it, but no matter how much I try to sell him on plugging the net into his console, he won't do it.

Apparently, he's got a lot of company.

Yeah...it is indeed funny. I've had people say "I don't need all of that" in reference to signing up for a silver account to download game updates, DLC, and XBLA games. I was like HUH?!?

It's amazing how many people think of the dashboard as some sort of elaborate error screen that's displayed when they accidentally turn on the console without a game in the drive.

Yeah, but people like us buy more than enough XBLA games to make up for the 30% loss.:P

This kind of doesn't surprise me. A friend of mine doesn't even know Live Arcade exists, let alone the video marketplace and things of that nature. But maybe ignorance is bliss in this case, because downloading XBLA games can get addicting.

I have to agree with Blue_Falcon, though. Because I bet we do make up for that loss...at this point I've bought something like 25 Live Arcade games. And I don't know if that's alot...but it sure seems like alot.
