Joystiq has interviewed XBLA's Greg Canessa, and some interesting things came out of this, including:
- Texas Hold 'em Poker will not be free
- Texas Hold 'em Poker will have a 'bankroll' system
- The next batch of XBLA games will be announced in around a week
- Releases have been secretly cuing up

While it sucks that we'll have to pay for it (I really doubt it'll be more than 400 points), it's completely understandable. Look at it this way...
The online gambling market was rocked earlier this week when the CEO of BetOnSports was arrested on Racketeering charges. The stock prices of almost every online gambling company had taken a nose dive, a pretty good reason why they wouldn't want to pony up the sponsorship money.
On the other side, do you really think Microsoft wants to touch these guys with a fifty foot pole?
I'm probably one of the few people who doesn't care about poker and was only interested because it was free. So this is fine by me, it's just one less arcade game to worry about. There are too many I'm looking forward to anyways.
I can't wait to hear what that next batch of releases is going to be! =)
I say the next batch will include at least 4 of these:
Lumines Live!
Mad Tracks
Hoopworld
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
Root Beer Tapper
Sonic the Hedgehog
Contra
Texas Hold 'em Poker

Here's my guess (oh and let's go for the gold with an order):
One of the Classics ( Hopefully Contra )
Poker
Roboblitz
Lumines Live!
Mad Tracks
roboblitz looks sick, those screenshots released this week were amazing!
I hope UMK3 is among the next batch
