Scenarios? I wonder what they will be like. I'm guess either there is a scenario menu that you can do one at a time, or a list of them that you can accomplish during regular play.

Ooh, finally a game you (probably) can't beat in one day! I never play poker, though, so all this is new to me. But from what I've seen, they don't seem TOO hard.

yeah, that would be cool if the scenarios were like some of the ones in EA sports games. for example, they could throw you into the middle of a game in which you are down big and need to pull off a huge come back. stuff like that would give the single player mode some longevity.

I really don't like fake-money bankrolls in poker games.

What keeps the losers from going all-in on every single hand? They're just a click away from all the free money they need, as these systems require the ability to get new money if you lose everything.

While it's not going to be fun at the lower levels, the "Build one of your bankrolls up to $100,000/$1,000,000" Achievements make me think that the starting amount is going to be either $1,000 or $10,000

So what it comes down to is the better players will play at the higher ante tables, while the all-in all the time players will be playing on the beginner tables.

At least that's what I'm hoping for.

BTW. if you thought the trash talking was bad for other games...

I think it would be safe to stop calling THEP "highly anticipated." Most of its anticipation was because it was free.

after the uno explosion, i expect to see texas hold'em do quite well. sure, free is better, but if a card game that is 95% luck can do well on XBLA, i'm sure a more skilled game like poker has a chance as well.

hmmm...i just tried to access that site from work and it gave me some warnings about scripts. from now on i'll just copy and paste the achievements and their descriptions...it's not like it's copyrighted information or anything.

from what i can remember: get each kind of hand, accumulate 100,000 in your bank roll, accumulate 1,000,000 in your bank roll, play 1,000 hands, complete the single player scenarios, and there was at least one involving playing in a competitive tournament.

Well yeah, they'd *better* have an achievement that includes getting a royal flush! It's poker! It would be a mockery of the achievements system if they left that out. Do you want to get all the achievements without ever having a hand better than two pair??

The poker game platform looks impressive.
