Sick of Guitar Hero 3 and still waiting on Rock Band to be released? You may want to go back and hit up the good ol' Boom Boom Rocket as it has received a signficant title update. The update hasn't been released just yet, so don't go running to your Xbox 360. The latest Bizarre Creations update mentioned that the title update has passed certification and is awaiting a release slot. Ok, so what exactly is in this title update?

The latest Bizarre Creations update mentioned that the title update has passed certification and is awaiting a release slot. Ok, so what exactly is in this title update?
- Guitar and dancemat peripheral support (oh yes!)
- Japanese and Korean language support
- Tweaked scoring system to make grade awarded more fair (now purely based on accuracy)
- The huge loud "noise" which popped up occasionally on endurance mode is now gone
- Occurrences of scores getting overwritten with a lower score when playing with 2 profiles signed in is now fixed.
- Display updates when viewing the game through a VGA cable.
- Friends leaderboard now shows extra information such as grade, accuracy, etc.
- Multiplayer endurance mode fix for player colours swapping sporadically.
- Slightly bigger and better explosions (updates to firework rendering)

i've been wondering if the Activision acquisition screwed up their plans for the DLC they were working on. Maybe this is a good sign.
Nothing really exciting in this update, but at least we'll be able to use those other peripherals and still do bonus runs now.

Loved the game before. Now I can't wait to get back into it again. The Guitar support is a wonderfull idea. Just makes a great game better!

That sounds super swell to me. Always irked the hell out of me when I'd hit all the notes in a song, but end up with a B anyhow.

The dance mat support is long overdue but it might bring a new crowd to the game.
What, no Big-Button Controller support???? Wonder if it works by default. Remember that the Big Button acts as a D-pad too so... we'll see.
I'm quite puzzled by the lack of additional songs to the game. That's a disappointment.

That's awful. The game will be supereasy from now on. The hard part wasn't to hit the notes, but to time them correctly. So, I guess I've to come back to this game now, not only for the guitar controller support but also collecting the remaining achievement points.

Yeah, of course it does. The guitar controller does work now as well. But I guess they're tweaking some in game stuff with the guitar controller, right? Because it wasn't very useful to play with.

PsychoDBoy and Dirty Whirlwind, are you guys thinking of "Hit Ratio"? The "Accuracy" rating in the game is what measures your perfect/awesome/etc timing. If that's what they're using, then it probably isn't a big change since that was always the hardest number to improve anyway.

I already got the update in the night from Saturday to Sunday when I was showing BBR to a friend.
Tried it with the X-plorer guitar yesterday. Previously, the frets buttons worked like normal buttons but with the updated version you need to STRUM the "notes" just like in Guitar Hero! Quite difficult to pull off for a whole song.

Well, having bought Scene It, updated BBR and tried playing it with the new controllers I can say that...
Nope, the Big Button Controller does not work in BBR.
