Pac-Man chomping ghosts on XBLA

So it has finally come to the end of the first wave of XBLA Wednesdays, and with it brings the classic Pac-Man. For 400 points, you can relive all those hours spent pumping quarters (wow, remember when arcade machines actually took quarters?) to control the yellow hero running from, and then after, Blinky, Inky, Pinky, and Clyde. Or were you one of the ones, unlike myself, who knew the patterns?

ok, so greg claims that they set a current goal of having a new xbla game almost every wednesday. and he also claimed that they have set the goal to give gamers a heads up on new releases about a month in advance, yet we have no definite release dates beyond pacman...just rumors and vague promises. not a good thing.

hopefully, that set of rumored release dates proves to be true because i'm really wanting lumines and poker.

I downloaded the trial this

I downloaded the trial this morning. My TV is a flatscreen CRT. (not widescreen, not HD).

Some of the walls are near-invisible. I can't figure out why some of the arcade ports are done so well, like Joust and Smash TV, but some like Galaga and Pac-Man are done so poorly.

At least they could have enhanced the colors... certainly they had some non-HD CRT's to test the game on?

i also have a flat screen non-HD CRT TV and it looks fine on mine.

So I boosted the brightness

So I boosted the brightness on my set, and the walls all came into focus. Stupid TV with a low default brightness setting.
