Realistic Kart title coming to XBLA

kart_007From time to time, we completely miss the boat on an XBLA announcement.  Fortunately for us though, some of our readers are the next Columbo.  This time it's JUDE1 who was kind enough to point out that we not only missed this announcement, but that we've been missing it for almost a month now.

Coming from the creators of both GTR and GTR2, considered by some to be the absolute pinnacle of racing sim games, is Kart Attack.  While not much is know about this title (even the name is still just a working title), but from what we do know, it's absolutely gorgeous! 

We'll let you know the moment we hear anything else about Kart Attack, but for now check out the official site for even more tasty screen shots.

Yay, these guys created GT
Yay, these guys created GT Legends, which is my favourite racing sim. All their previous games have been great, so I'm pretty sure this will be very, very cool.

Graphics look really good

Graphics look really good for an XBLA title, but does anyone really want a realistic Karting title, even if it is from the creators of GTR? I know a lot of today's racing stars got their start in karting, and I know racing karts are actually pretty darn fast, but, well, karting just isn't very cool.

The 360 isn't exactly short on racing games, either, so if I want a realistic one, I'm happy to stick to full retail games.
