Even though I've tried to promise myself not to buy anymore arcade games until the DRM issue is sorted out, I probably will end up getting Rez since I'm too lazy to hook up the PS2 an dig out the game, and it's fun enough to warrant purchasing again.

What DRM issue? It makes perfect sense to me. Works on the first console that you download it to and works on every console after that if you are logged in. We have three xbox 360s in my house and I have no problem with this. If it wasn't for this there could be one universal gamertag that could purchase everything for everyone in the world.

Seriously? With the fail rate of 360s, do you not know how many people are totally pissed about this? It's one of those #1 things people want Microsoft to do something about that they are taking ass long to do....they know that it's an issue, but are taking their sweet time with it. It should be linked to the first Hard Drive you download it to or something, or memory card, as opposed to console, since people have to send those things back so damn often. Why the hell should I pay up to $15 for a game I can't use when I'm not connected to an internet connection just because Microsoft puts out a faulty system that has to be sent back every few months? I'm on my 3rd system myself after having only bought a 360 a little over a year ago....it's ridiculous.

 

And the whole 'every console after that if you're logged in' thing? With Live being pretty unavailable for the past 2 weeks, that's a couple hundred dollars of wasted money I've spent on crap that I can't access....which is another big reason people were pissed on the outage, not just because they couldn't play COD4 or Halo 3.

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with PsychoDBoy on this one, the fact that through all of the updates they haven't added an option to allow you to reauthorize an xbox as your primary is a bit of a joke.

Maybe I'm just bitter that my 360 is in for repairs right now and I had to listen to the Customer Service lady tell me that I was completely wrong and that their are absolutely no problems around this :(

They actually have the ability to change your primary console ID associated with DLC in the database, but it is apparently only applicable to the newer HDMI 360s.

It really hasn't been a good lsat 6 months or so dealing with MS...but this thread is off topic enough.
