Classic Bionic Commando coming to XBLA/PSN

BionicCommando In a move shouldn't have been surprised by this, given Capcom's current and future presence on the service(s), Bionic Commando will be swinging his way on to XBLA and the PSN. According to Japanese magazine Fatitsu, we will be getting a graphical update as well, a la Street Fighter and Puzzle Fighter.

While the details are still a little sketchy, I know of at least a couple of people who were on the fence about picking up a 360 who this will certainly push them into doing so. It's amazing how many people who finally are swayed by some of the retro-remakes that people seem to complain about.

As a side note, is their anyone out there that still thinks that it's not just a matter of time before Capcom announces the boy in blue himself will be gracing us with his presence?

Mega Man

I would certainly think that it is only a matter of time until the 'boy in blue' graces these services.

He's perfect for it, and there is a HUGE assortment of titles that they could release ranging from the NES titles all the way to X6 or 8 on the PS1.

I'm a big Blue Bomber fan and honestly there is nothing I have wanted more this entire time than some sweet mega man side-scrolling action on my xbox.

The titles I would like to see more than anything are the 'power-up' Mega Man games they made for PSP, cause I never got to play them.

Arcade version?
But is it the NES version or the Arcade version? I'd kind of like to see the Arcade version since it's never appeared on any compilations before.
I think we're better off
I think we're better off hoping it's the NES version. The arcade one simply is just not that great.
Given how things have worked

Given how things have worked out in the past, I'd put my money on it being the Arcade version.

From the pic in the neogaf
From the pic in the neogaf thread I think it goes like this. The left middle pic is of the classic NES game. The top right is of the updated version. I *think* its an updated version of the NES game.
Blargh...the NES is version
Blargh...the NES is version of BC is great, of course, but I own the cart and as well as the rom. Give us the arcade version of BC, Capcom!
Hey, by the way...the arcade

Hey, by the way...the arcade version of BC was on a PS2 Capcom compilation. Not sure what the title of it was.

There's a preview and

There's a preview and trailer up about this on IGN now. Saw it at GoNintendo since they're suddenly pushing a Bionic Command for Wii petition.

The anniversary xbox (original) collection plays well on the 360. I lent my copy a nd never got it back, but I have seen it new at Circuit City for under $15 occasionally. Never when I have $15 to spend on it, but off and on.

As far as Bionic Commando...that was the first game which I ever threw a controller playing on the NES. I odn't know why, but it just frustrated me terribly back then.

Rearm!

Its gonna be the NES classic and a remake version of it called Bionic Commando Rearmed! I didnt play Bionic Commando when it came out and after that, but Im gonna tell you, boy it looks sweet!!

I will definetly pick this one! It tops the Prince Of Persia Classic so far.
