Bionic Commando Preview and Trailer

IGN has the first details, screenshots and gameplay video of Bionic Commando Rearmed the remake of the classic Bionic Commando title for the NES. That's right IGN has stated in their preview that the game will most closely resemble the console version of the title and not the arcade version. As rumored the game will feature two player co-op, characters that follow the naming convention of the US version of the title (sorry, no Hitler). The best news I think from this reveal is that the title will follow in the footsteps of the Prince of Persia Classic with updated 2D in a 3D world visuals.

That game looks SOOOO

That game looks SOOOO tight. Nothing like a great old school 2D platformer, especially if it'll have multiplayer. I kinda hoped it had the original game in there for kicks, but I probably wouldn't play it anyways. This new one looks fantastic!

Makes me wish for some Earthworm Jim.

I remember thinking the original on the C64 was cool because it had a grappling hook in it (that was enough, back in the day), but I never got anywhere in it because it was so bloody difficult.

I had a look at the arcade original on the Capcom Classics Collection, and wasn't really fond of it at all, so I wasn't really interested when I heard they were remaking the NES version for XBLA.

However, after looking at this trailer, I'm really looking forward to the game, it looks awesome! This is the kind of thing we need more of on XBLA.
