Next Week: Rez HD Set For January 30th
Joystiq posted a neat little hands-on with Rez HD today. So, if you're not quite sure what to expect (and you lack the patience to wait for the free trial) head on over there. While you are there you can also get a peek at some nice screens from the game as well.
The juiciest bit of info in the hands on is mentioned almost off hand -- the release date. Apparently, their second take on the rumors floating around were correct. This coming Wednesday (January 30th) will mark the release of Rez HD. Of course, they didn't get that from Q. They just got a confirmation of Rez arriving "in January" and there's only one option left. Two and two together, I suppose. No word on any game that might join it.

What where the original publicized (by MS) release dates for SWOS and Warworld? (I forgot, was Puzzle quest on time?)

Sure, but I'm pretty sure the late release of SWOS were the developers fault. I believe they had problems with the online code. Not sure about the story with War World though.
However I'm confident that Rez is pretty much set in stone now. When it comes to SWOS there were like more than a month, almost two months, of notifying before the actual original release date of the game of 29th August. Then again I'm not sure about War World, but I believe there never was a specific release date for the game, just that PR saying "in the coming weeks/months".
Anyway, I never really liked REZ. Played it on the Dreamcast back in the days but never understood the quality of it. Will give it a shoot, but at the end of the day I'll probably go with Chessmaster instead. Been playing chess like nuts the last few weeks on the Windows Live service (never got a subscription though, just signed up new mails when the two weeks of trials were ended).
