Magic: The Gathering Announced

The collectible card game (CCG) Magic the Gathering is coming to Xbox Live Arcade soon. It's unknown what form this game will take; however, the press release (below) makes note that it will expand the strategy section of the Arcade. A CCG would be hard to make into a video game; however, it has been done well before with previous titles in the IP have done well with Metacritics in the 70s.

They're going to offer
They're going to offer boosters for purchase. and they will be priced at the same cost as the actual cardboard boosters in stores. this is what they did with MTG Online.
If that's the case, then it
If that's the case, then it could very well turn out to be awesomesauce. I enjoyed MTG Online when I played it, and also liked the fact that you could trade your virtual cards in for real ones if you ever wanted to (even tho I'm sure that won't happen with XBL). Now I kinda want to reinstall MTG:O to work on my gaming some since it's been years, and I know my decks I've made are still floating around.
