The moment I read that Dishwasher was coming out for free, I immediately ran to get downloading the launcher.

XNA games for free, that's awesome news. Major kudos to Microsoft for that

I know, ima get all 7 :)
try before you buy .
I still think the Fable 2 XBLA pub games is possibly the greatest tie in ever.
But we'll have to see it to be sure eh?

So apparently you need to purchase a membership for the XNA Creators Club in order to access it. (At least that what it tells me every time I try to use it)
Unless I'm doing it wrong, this more or less completely kills my interest in this.

@Blue_Falcon You do not need a membership! I don't have one, and I certainly have been enjoying the titles.

Yeah, you just have to download the software which is freely available on Live.
I guess I'm kind of confused by where this is going. The presentation made it seem like we'd get to vote on these and rate them while on Live or something... but at least at this stage, nothing remotely similar to that is in place.

@Blue
you tried to launch the XNA launcher didn't you?
What you have to do is just download it then go to my games, you should see an XNA Content tab show up

I went back and I see what I did wrong. I forgot about the Pressing Y step. I'm in the process of DLing the last six games now.
Anyway, I'm calling Dishwasher as XBLA GOTY. So awesome, and I can't wait to play the other levels.

So...are these just trial versions of the games or what?
All I'm seeing is demo's...which are still fun btw.

yup, just demos.
Dishwasher should be coming on XBLA in the summer i believe, and the others will be available on the XNA Community thing when it launches in the fall.

All I can say is: Dishwasher, OMG... (still attemping to pick jaw up off of floor)
Can I give them my points early?

Granted, Dishwasher is awesome: fun, brutal, hilarious, smooth, just great. But I haven't heard anyone mention JellyCar! Surely a runner up if done right and expanded a bit.

Jelly Car is the best thing there. If they can develop a better way to progress through levels, it would be amazing.
Dishwasher is cool, kind of like DMC or Ninja Gaiden in 2D... but honestly, I felt like the enemies just have way, way, way too many hit points. I'd rather they were stronger and there were more of them than that it takes 40 hits to kill one guy.

Considering many were expecting to hear about more big name titles, it was a bit jarring to realize how much talent is using XNA.
I've only played one of these games so far, The Dishwasher, and I honestly feelguilty playing it for free.
I have been awaiting the XBLA release, even won a shirt to wear on Wednesday morning, and I would have gladly paid for it.
It's fluid, addictive, and charming. The fact that it's more awesome than many others (and even I) expected, is a sure sign that it should get a release ASAP.

I will definitely be checking out the other six, and try to support XNA a lot more than I have...

Dishwasher and JellyCar were pretty fun and the best out of the lot I've played so far. Little Gamers and Rocketball get a big pass on me, and haven't tried the other three yet, but will get around to it sometime today.

How is this going to work, later on? Are we gonna get full-version of XNA-games or just trials like this? Are they gonna charge us or what? Isn't this feature due to the end of this year? And 1000 games before the year end of the year? I'm kinda confused over here.
Anyway, I though Proximity HD was quite addictive. Easy to understand, hard to master (so it seems).

I agree with some of your thoughts on Dishwasher semjaza, I too thought the enemies had too much hp. Other than that I found myself button mashing way more than actually pulling off a timed combo like in ninja gaiden or DMC, etc. Also, the game might be a bit too dark for me, which honestly rarely ever happens.
Nit-picky? Sure. But I've learned to not throw my money around at every decent xbla game anymore.

hmm where's Schizoid?

The release of Schizoid can't be too far away. A couple of weeks or so.
