Death Tank XBLA revealed.

From time to time XBLA has been getting remakes of titles that most of us barely remember, other times it's remakes of titles that we've never heard of.  This one, however, takes the cake.  In order to have played the original, you would have had to first owned a Sega Saturn, a system that didn't exactly tear up the charts, then have owned a copy of PowerSlave.

But enough with the history lessons...

Snowblind Studios has just announced that the hidden gem, which seems best described as "Worms with tanks in real-time", will be making it's way XBLA.  As per usual, no date nor price have been announced yet, but looking at the video make you think that we'll probably be able to get our hands on this sometime this year.

Looks pretty cool, like a real-time version of Scorched Earth, which pre-dated Worms by quite a bit.

I actually still own a Saturn and a copy of Exhumed. Unfortunately, along with changing the name for PAL regions, they also removed Death Tank. Luckily, it was left in the Saturn version of Duke Nukem 3D, although I think you had to have a save from either Powerslave/Exhumed or Quake(games also ported to Saturn by Lobotomy).
