Well the first of many gesture based games for XBLA will be available tomorrow as part of Microsoft's XBLA Wednesdays. The info for the release was just posted on Major Nelson's blog, and does state what everyone already knew, that it'll be free.
While it may be a disappointment for those who don't have the camera, it's good to at least see something come out.

"available tomorrow"
Didn't we hear that, like, 2 weeks ago?
Welp, here's hoping it comes out this time!

The demo does support the controller, so those without the camera can sorta see what it's all about.

my arms hate me right now
if this game had tighter controls, it would be good for casual gamers. but with the unresponsive and arm-numbing controls it is just too frustrating to be much fun. at least it was free. for anyone wondering, this game is definitely not worth buying the camera for. if you are on the fence about purchasing the camera, i wouldn't even factor this game into the decision.
i do like the camera and i do recommend it, but not for this game. i got the bundle for $59...i recommend checking deal sites like cheapassgamer.com for potential deals on the bundle.

Thanks for the heads up, I was concidering getting the camera just for this game. I guess I'll wait to see what other XBLA motion games come out.
I'm guessing that Totemball will always be free, but if not I've already downloaded it.
