Ross Erickson leaves for Sierra Online

His new position at Sierra Online will be the VP of Content Aquisition. It is sad to see Ross go as he was a long-time supporter of the XBLA community as a whole knocking down rumors when possible, but it's good to see that like Greg Canessa he will continue to shape Xbox Live Arcade at his new position. Two (very very believable) ways to see this

1) The Xbox Live Arcade team is disbanding in panic. The service is quickly devolving into chaos.

or...

2) The brotherhood of Xbox Live Arcade founders is taking over the market in the name of XBLA by strategically placing members in power at the most successful providers of downloadable games.

I lean more towards number

I lean more towards number one, but my guess is:

3) Now that XBLA has proven successful from a business standpoint, Microsoft is replacing the old managers with more senior management from other parts of the company.

The original creators of the Xbox project got railroaded this same way.

what about these guys developed good contacts at these companies which allowed them to score a better (as in money) job
