Xbox 360 Fanboy has found out that Xbox Live Arcade Worldwide Games Portfolio Manager, Ross Erickson, has left Microsoft for a position at Sierra Online. 1) The Xbox Live Arcade team is disbanding in panic. The service is quickly devolving into chaos.
or...
2) The brotherhood of Xbox Live Arcade founders is taking over the market in the name of XBLA by strategically placing members in power at the most successful providers of downloadable games.

I lean more towards number one, but my guess is:
3) Now that XBLA has proven successful from a business standpoint, Microsoft is replacing the old managers with more senior management from other parts of the company.
The original creators of the Xbox project got railroaded this same way.
