Hexic 2 Reveled

The Australian ratings board has struck two days in a row by posting a rating for Hexic 2. Hexic was the #1 XBLA game of all time due to it's inclusion in most hard drives on the Xbox 360, so it comes as no surprise that a sequel is coming. That and the fact that XBLArcade.com alerted everyone to the rumor last year. It'll be interesting to see what is done with the second version of this game, perhaps multiplayer?

Hexic 2 w/ multiplayer?

I really liked Hexic actually and got pretty good at it (got all the achievements didn't I?). But I like the slow methodical nature of the single player...not sure I'd want to turn it multiplayer. I wonder what kind of implementation it would have? Maybe it'll surprise me.

The way I figure is MS wants

The way I figure is MS wants most of their live arcade games to have multiplayer. With a 2 they have to have something that would make you want to buy it if you already have 1. Multiplayer would be a good addition to do that. Considering the maker of Tetris made Hexic, I'm sure the multi will be great for he is a smart man.

Yes, I know for a fact that MS really pushes things that take advantage of Live (such as multiplayer) so you are right about that. It's all about value adds for the consumer and selling points for the platform. And I understand that it make getting your game approved in the first place a LOT easier if you can take advantage of Live in a big way (camera support, multiplayer, etc.).
