Without even so much as an announcement on Major Nelson's blog, Soltrio Solitaire has gained some DLC.
"Game Pack 1" adds the following 10 game modes to the original 18:
The Pack clocks in at a small 300kb and will set you back 150 MS Points. Adding over 50% more content and charging only 19% of the game's original cost seems like a pretty sweet deal. Anyone gonna bite?

They should've released the main version AND this bit of DLC for around that price to get my interest.
I know, kind of extreme, but the idea of paying $10 for solitaire bothers me.

Sure, but is it really the price, or is it just the game?
I didn't buy it, but that's just because I didn't want it. If I wanted a collection of Solitaire games, I think $10 for 18 games with leaderboards and multiplayer modes would be a fair price.
I agree with you, McLean, I think the problem is more with the game than with the price. $10 for a whole pile of card game variants isn't so bad (unfortunately we've all been conditioned into thinking that solitaire is "that free game that comes with Windows"), but Solitaire (and I'm sure there will be some who disagree with me) is for most people just a time-waster, and so is well suited to a PC environment when you should be doing something else, but not so much for a console which you would use when actively seeking entertainment.
One of the problems I find with people's opinions of Live Arcade games, is that they're willing to say things like "yeah, it's crap, but look how cheap it is". Sure, if a game is cheap you tend to be more forgiving, but you still shouldn't pay money for something you don't really even want.
I haven't bought Solitaire, by the way, and don't plan to. My interest in this argument is purely academic.
