Quakecon is running this week as many of you readers know, and you may also remember a rumor that XBLArcade.com reported on nearly four months ago... Quake III Arena. Throw that game out of the rumor bin as Kotaku has just confirmed that Pi Studios is working on the port of Quake III Arena to Xbox Live Arcade. This comes hot off the heals of Id announcing the title for DS at last weeks ComicCon. Quake certainly has been overshadowed lately by newer better FPS series, so this may be the first in a large push to help out the upcoming Quake Wars, which looks spectacular. Many of you may be wondering how such a fast paced game will work on a controller, but just recall that the Dreamcast game played rather well online scoring a GameRankings of 92%. As being one of the many, who played this game on the Dreamcast and the PC, you will be very pleased.
Now go and practice your l33t fragging skills for this release.

Ah, with the help of this site no official XBLA announcement ever surprises me anymore, as in most cases we already knew about them months and months in advance.
And that's why I love this place.

Too many take cover and fire games for the 360 right now. The quick action of Quake 3 will be a nice change at this point.
I am also looking forward to Warworld for the frantic play it offers.
