Undertow will arrive this Wednesday. This, we already knew. What we didn't know was the price: 800MSP. Personally, that makes me pretty excited. Seeing the 1200MSP price tag of the other Unreal Engine 3-powered XBLA game (remember Roboblitz?) made many hesitate to purchase it (myself included).
The rest of the news this week: the release of a Halo 3 map pack (blah, blah) and a 1/2 off sale of MSN Games for Thanksgiving (US only, sorry). Actually, that second bit might just interest all of you. If you're tired of waiting for the XBLA announcement of Bookworm Adventures, perhaps you should pop over to MSN Games this Wednesday to snag some casual PC games with a decidedly XBLA-style price tag.

I think this may be the first time I've ever seen an XBLA title get a release date, and actually follow through with it.
This must be a sign of the apocalypse. The end is nigh!

Sorry buddy, but that's going to be the best value I'll get for any $10 spent on a marketplace purchase for the rest of the year.
Ofcourse, it's an awesome deal to have Undertow for 800 MSP, instead of higher. Unfortunately, I doubt its chaotic play style will be able to sustain a large population as months pass.

LOL. Yes, I realize that the Halo 3 map pack will probably do more business than any XBLA title ever...that's why I feel it's my small duty to deride it every chance I get. (^_^)
Me personally, I'll probably just wait for the inevitable (as long as history can tell us anything) free-ness of the map pack in a few months time.

So, what ever happened to the XBLA sequel you were talking about?

The sequel exists (I've talked to several people who have played it), but it seems I was horribly incorrect that it was going to be coming out this week.
