Gamespot informs us that Castlevania will be the first XBLA title to be released that will break the 50MB Limit. While this certainly bodes well for those of you who were worried that we'd get Lumines Live'd on the title, another interesting tidbit is in this part of the article:
[quote]
Even though Symphony of the Night will exceed the size limit, Canessa indicated that there is still a 50MB cap on Live Arcade games, although Microsoft is willing to make exceptions to the rule. "If any games do exceed 50 MB, it's for a very specific reason that would ensure that the gameplay experience is the best it can be," Canessa said.

Could this mean the end of the ongoing public complaints by SNK and the start of us finally seeing Neo-Geo titles on XBLA? Here's hoping so!
Thanks steverulez for the heads up.

hmmmm, 2 days ago they said this about castlevanias game size:
The game's size, contrary to many concerns, isn't an issue, explained Ferris. The largest part of old PS CD games was their sound files. But due to today's more powerful compression technology, compressing Castlevania to near the 50 MB Xbox Live Arcade requirement isn't an issue

Thanks for posting that. That interview was the first thing I thought of when I heard about this.
But now that I read the quote again: "near" the 50 MB limit.
