After getting our hopes up, Xbox 360 Fanboy is crushing our spirits with the news that another Castlevania port is highly unlikely.
When speaking with the current producer on the Castlevania series, Koji Igarashi, 1UP was able to discover why XBLA won't be getting any more Castlevania after already getting Symphony of the Night. Igarashi gave the following explanation:
There are two reasons why I am reluctant to create a game for such channels: 1. The price is frankly too low for what we'd want to do, and 2. Most of the next gen players are expecting really high fidelity games, so I'm really not eager to go that route.
In other words, too much cost and not enough return. He also says that the XBLA version of Castlevania: SOTN "did well" but maybe it did not do as well as I expected.

Is he not saying that there won't be any new games in the series released to XBLA? It's still possible that they may port some of the old games.

The Castlevania peak was Dracula's Curse to Rondo of Blood in my opinion so I wouldn't mind a XBLA of either of those.
The later DS Castlevanias have been pretty decent but the gimmicks got in the way of gameplay. in PoR the needless character switching and unequipping of skills just to get past a single door got rather annoying.

@ Plurre. I supposed you could be right considering that by his own admission he had another company port SOTN to XBLA. So, maybe he won't develop a new port, but another company will.
However, it does seem like he is uninterested in up-rezzing the old stuff and spending money to get it on a new platform. And since that is the new norm on XBLA, it's a less attractive platform to him.

"I would love to see the PSP Castlvania game (Rondo of Blood) come to the Arcade. The graphics really remind me of PoP Classic."
That should read the PCe (TurboGraphix for US'rs) game Rondo Of blood.
sadly the first release of that particular game in the US is on the PSP, but it came out in the EU and Japan on the SNES.
Just commenting for clarification as it is still one of my faves.
