Official: Golden Axe and Sonic the Hedgehog on XBLA this week [Update 2]

DaKing240 has broken the news that our likely addition to XBLA this week is Golden Axe. Not only that, but he has the full achievement list and scores. (Here's the announcement thread at x360a.org.)
Looking through the achievements you can see that local and online co-op will be featured in the game.
I'm listing this as a rumor until we have the official announcement. More details as we get them.

[Update]: As of now, DaKing240 is also listing Sonic the Hedgehog as arriving alongside Golden Axe.
[Update 2]: This is a rumor no longer. Official announcement came out that Sonic and Golden Axe are arriving tonight.

I hope it is the Sega Genesis port, because that is the one I grew up playing. :P

I won't bother with the trial version if Sonic the Hedgehog arrives tomorrow.

Golden Axe and Golden Axe II are both on Virtual Console. As is Sonic the Hedgehog.
So, it's all about whether achievements and online is worth it to you.

Wohoo! out of all seven players who have tried golden axe hardcore mode... I'm number 1!!!!
EDIT: Does anyone know why the number of lives even matter in this game when I have seemingly limetless continues?
I like that XBLA gets arcade ports rather than console ports like the Virtual Console, it seems purer that way. Considering how superior arcade hardware was to home console hardware back in the 8 and 16-bit eras, it's usually the better version. The VC (SNES) version of Final Fight apparently doesn't even let you play with two players.
Anyway, I have to buy Golden Axe out of sheer nostalgia - I think I finished that game in the Arcades more times than any other game. I just hope it stands up better than Double Dragon did.
