Just picked up the Bucaneer table yesterday, must say it's very commendable considering the amount of effort and design that obviously goes into these tables, that it was free. Especially when you consider what Lumines and Bomberman charge for their DLC. An excellent update incorporating a restart option too - thank God, that in itself has trebled its replayability to me, this MUST be a pre-requisite to any highscore based game when you are likely to want to scrap your game and start again if you make an early mistake (before you had to quit to the menu and go back in).
Is the point of pinball to discover what to do over time? I always feel with these games that I can't work out what I'm meant to be doing, that there's so many modes and missions to uncover but no clue as to how to get them, and I just find myself walloping the ball upwards randomly and scoring random things. I know the How to Play sections feature 'instructions', but these are a bit vague. The Speed Machine table is about the only one I even vaguely properly understand, anyone know of a good guide on how to exploit each of the tables in this game? I feel it is a game I could get into with some proper guidance, it is very well done and looks stunning (for a pinball game), but in the heat of playing I can't really tell what I should be doing!
