Bejeweled 2 And Zuma To Headline Live Anywhere Launch?

Recently, upon scanning the ESRB ratings I stumbled upon two oldies: Bejeweled 2 and Zuma. Totally boring, right?

Wrong.

Why? Because they appeared right near the top of the list. Now, in my experience, games are added to that list in chronological order based on when they were rated. So, what are the ancient Bejelewed 2 and Zuma doing on the list? Why would they need to be re-rated?

My wager: Bejeweled 2 and Zuma will be headlining the Live Anywhere launch of PC XBLA games alongside first-party titles like UNO from Carbonated Games. I think the picture above (showing Zuma as part of Live Anywhere) corroborates this theory nicely. And Microsoft promised to roll this service out before the end of 2007, so we should find out soon. I'll take those odds.

XBLA On Your PC This Holiday?

Destructoid is adding fuel to a fire (they say they've seen it...maybe) created over at CVG about the possiblity of XBLA titles arriving on your PC this year. Then again, it looks like it started at 1UP.

The offending quote from 1UP:

In November, Microsoft will roll out a developer update for their Games For Windows Live tools in anticipation of Xbox Live Arcade games rolling out in "holiday 07." The panel did not, however, reveal what games will make the leap from Xbox 360 to PC.

So, it looks like David Edery wasn't just blowing smoke when he answered my questions about Live Anywhere.

If this is true there are many more questions to be answered. What games will be available (besides UNO)? Will cross-platform play work immediately? Will you buy the game once and own it on both platforms?

What do you all think?
