Each mode has its own local leaderboard with pre-set scores. The default top score for each score attack level (1-4) is 150,000. The Boss Rush is 300,000, I believe. Score attack for level 5 is also 300,000. And Direct Assault is 1,000,000. To get every achievement in Rez HD will take a minimum of about 13 hours of gameplay, since one of the achievements (Direct Assault - Trance) requires you to play through all the levels six times (about one hour each time), while the 30 times of score attack will probably take you at least five hours (10 min. per attempt). Of course, it will probably take a bit longer since you may die or not make the top scores on your early attempts. :)

so what you're saying is that those achievements have nothing to do with online leader boards but the games pre-set high scores??

Yeah, that's correct.

Those scores aren't too hard to beat either. You may not get them on your first try, but once you get used to going for 4x-8x combos whenever possible, you'll blow away the local high scores.
