Sonic 2 Arriving Soon?

Gotta love marketing. I just received the September Xbox Flash in my inbox, entitled "Halo 3 Screen Shots, PGR 4 and BioShock Demo". Typically, these emails are made entirely from information I already know. This time however, I noticed something of interest. The "Family Game of the Month" for September is Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

Just in case you don't get these emails, I'm posting a screenshot segment of the email in question.

Sonic 2 in September, eh? Seems reasonable, but it is not official yet. And we know what happens when we get unofficial confirmation.

I sure hope that Sonic the Hedgehog 2 comes out in September as it'll be an early birthday present for me.

I must say that I thought
I must say that I thought Sonic 2 was the best. I still may not buy this on XBLA, but that's probably because I still have a working Genesis and Sonic 2 cart. ...not that I have time to play it...

Then you'll be missing out on 2 things: 12 unlockable achievements and Xbox Live online multiplayer.

That is the only reason why I plan on buying it, even though I already have [url=http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/splash/s/sonicmegacollectionplus/]Sonic Mega Collection Plus[/url] for the original Xbox.

I can understand not wanting to buy the first one (Sonic 1), but when Sonic 2 has 2 player online versus mode... who wouldn't want to buy it?
