Apparently there was a massive explosion of XBLA achievements that I missed.  Better late than never I hope.  Since there are so many games to cover, I'll just get right to the list.  Pointless commentary after the break.

• Double D Dodgeball (Wait...what?)
• Coffeetime Crosswords
• Go! Go! Break Steady
• R.B.I. Baseball (Another one I totally missed.)
• Ticket to Ride (One of this week's games.)
• Soul Caliber (With some seriously hardcore achievements!)

First off, let me just say that it is patently obvious that Ticket to Ride will have DLC.  It has 15 achievements which makes DLC a lock.  Anyone guessing what it might be or when we might see it?  In other news, there is an achievement just for Canadians (and/or those that love Canada).

Next, I didn't realize that the new genre du jour was dodgeball.  Why is that?  I mean I never expected to have more than Pirates Vs. Ninjas: Dodgeball but now we can look forward to Double D Dodgeball (and presumably the XNA dodgeball game previewed earlier this year: Rocketball).  That's a lot of dodgeball.  Who could have guessed that twin-stick shooters would be replaced by dodgeball games?

R.B.I. Baseball features bizarre 18 and 22 point achievements but at least they understand that it's a good idea to have achievements unlock for Xbox Live play or local single player.  We all know how impossible it is to unlock multiplayer achievements just two weeks after a game's launch.

Go! Go! Break Steady apparently awards you for endurance and also crushing beatniks.  Down with Kerouac!

The Coffeetime Crosswords achievements are all about doing a lot of crosswords.  Say, 80+.  No idea how long the "puzzles" are but one of the achievements asks you to finish 180 of them.  Looks like you crossword junkies won't get 200/200 gamerscores any time soon.
